Frequently Asked Questions
What is the sterilization limit for this vet surgery set?
The standard sterilizing temperature should be ≤ 135 °C. Improved types can handle temperatures up to ≤ 155 °C. Exceeding these limits will damage the motor.
How should the rechargeable battery be managed after surgery?
The battery must be removed from the handpiece immediately after surgery. Keeping it inside the tool allows a small automatic discharge that will shorten the overall lifespan of the battery. Additionally, ensure the battery compartment is dry and free of water after sterilization.
Can the surgical battery be autoclaved?
No, the battery is not autoclavable and cannot be sterilized. Only the handpiece (without the battery) and the drills/saws are autoclavable under specified temperature limits.
What are the speed specifications for different drills?
The normal bone drill holds bits smaller than 6mm. The acetabulum reaming drill operates at a high torque with a speed of around 300 rpm, while the cannulated drill, used with K-wires or nails, operates around 600 rpm.
What is the warranty policy for this equipment?
We offer a 2-year warranty for both the motor and the complete machine, and a 3-month warranty for the rechargeable battery and other fast-consumption items.
How do you clean and maintain the cranial bur?
The cranial bur must be cleaned with a purger immediately after the procedure to prevent blood from sticking. It must be dried completely before storage.
