Medisplint
Engineered for extreme biomechanical stability and verified clinical performance.
An authoritative review of biomechanical performance, materials engineering, and surgical advantages in joint reconstruction.
In modern sports medicine, particularly in arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstructions, suspensory cortical fixation has emerged as the gold standard. Traditional fixed-loop devices require highly precise pre-operative tunnel measurement, leaving little room for intraoperative adjustment. Adjustable Loop Suspended Fixation systems resolve these limitations by combining titanium cortical buttons with adjustable, high-strength braided suture loops. This structure allows surgeons to maximize graft fill in the femoral tunnel and apply optimal tensioning post-deployment, significantly reducing the risks of micro-motion, graft tunnel mismatch, and premature fixation failure.
One historical concern with adjustable suspensory fixation has been loop elongation under cyclic loading (the "slippage" effect). Medisplint's adjustable loop fixation leverages a self-locking loop structure made of Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) braided with polyester. This composition yields superior tensile strength, ensuring minimal displacement during early post-operative rehabilitation. Clinical studies demonstrate that our proprietary dual-locking mechanism limits loop stretch to less than 1.5mm under 1,000 cycles of dynamic testing, matching the performance of conventional fixed-loop implants.
By allowing post-deployment loop adjustment, surgeons can pull the soft-tissue graft completely to the base of the femoral socket. Maximizing the length of the graft within the bone tunnel accelerates ligamentization and bone-to-tendon healing. The adjustable nature also accommodates graft-tunnel mismatch, preventing clinical scenarios where a graft is too short or too long for stable fixation. This design minimizes the "windshield-wiper" and "bungee-cord" effects, optimizing long-term patient outcomes.
Medisplint provides a comprehensive system consisting of the cortical button, adjustable loops, and pull-through leading sutures. The low-profile button design requires minimal bone removal, conserving the patient's natural anatomy. Our implants are compatible with standard orthopedic surgical drill guides and passing pins, facilitating a seamless transition for surgical teams accustomed to traditional reconstructive protocols without requiring extensive retraining.
How Medisplint integrates advanced manufacturing technology with strict compliance to deliver world-class orthopedic solutions.
Medisplint Orthopedic Instruments Co., Ltd. operates an 18,500m² manufacturing facility optimized for advanced medical device production. By integrating advanced production phases, from raw material inspection through multi-axis CNC machining, electropolishing, cleanroom packaging, and sterilization, we maintain strict control over every phase of production. Leveraging China's robust medical supply chain infrastructure, we offer unmatched manufacturing efficiency and speed-to-market. This enables global orthopedic brands and distributors to acquire CE-certified implants at competitive prices, backed by high-capacity reliability.
We source medical-grade Titanium Alloys (Ti6Al4V ELI) conforming to ASTM F136 and medical-grade polymers (PEEK, UHMWPE) from verified global suppliers. This ensures that every implant maintains excellent biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and high fatigue strength under extreme physiological stress.
Our workshop is equipped with Swiss-type multi-axis CNC lathe centers, precision slitting machines, and wire-cutting machinery. We achieve tolerances as tight as ±0.005mm, which is critical for the complex geometry of orthopedic buttons and locked screw interfaces.
With an active R&D team of 85 engineering specialists, we rapidly convert clinical concepts into surgical realities. In the past year, we successfully commercialized 68 new orthopedic devices, supporting private labeling and customization for global partners.
Addressing the requirements of medical distributors, group purchasing organizations, and surgical trauma centers.
Our Adjustable Loop Fixation is optimized for various procedures: anatomical ACL/PCL single-bundle and double-bundle reconstructions, revision ligament procedures, and extra-articular tenodesis. It serves as a versatile solution for sports medicine departments, regional trauma centers, and private outpatient orthopedic clinics.
International procurement directors demand compliance, supply chain continuity, and cost stability. Medisplint supports these needs with ISO 13485 certified quality management systems and comprehensive CE validation documents, facilitating smooth regulatory import and domestic registration.
With the rise of veterinary orthopedics, particularly in treating cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) ruptures in large canine breeds, our fixation options have been adopted by veterinary surgical centers. We provide specialized sizing adjustments tailored to veterinary protocols.
